3v3 World Soccer Tour and NW YMCA merge 3v3 tourneys

Georgia 3v3 teams were treated to a great day of 3v3 soccer at Quest Park on Saturday, June 19. Over 115 teams took part in the 2nd annual Northwest YMCA Strikers 3v3 Summer Kickoff. All of the teams are now a part of the GA 3v3 Cup Series and many teams became eligible to compete in the GA 3v3 Champions Cup finals on July 24. Teams also qualified for the 3v3 World Cup in Myrtle Beach on August 7-8.

GA 3v3 Champions Cup Kicks off in Dallas, GA

On Saturday, June 12, the first of (4) 3v3 tourneys in the GA 3v3 Cup Series took place in Dallas, GA. The host club was West Metro SC and they did a great job making all of the teams feel welcome. The highlight of the tournament was the pavilion area which was modified into a mini World Cup theater thanks to the local Best Buy store which donated (2) 58″ plasmas tv’s. (68) teams are now a part of the GA 3v3 Cup standings. CLICK HERE for standings

Next up on 6-19 is the NW YMCA 3v3 tourney which merged with the 3v3 World Soccer Tour event with West GA FC.

SoccerOP Joins the WORLD SOCCER Tour

The 3v3 World Soccer Tour and Lowcountry Soccer are proud to announce a partnership with SoccerOP in the Winston-Salem/Greensboro (Piedmont) area in North Carolina. Their (3) NC 3v3 Champions Cup Series events will be managed by the SoccerOP staff and will have the look and feel of a regular 3v3 World Tour event.

“We are excited for our players to have the opportunity to travel around the state to play in a statewide 3v3 circuit of Saturday events that will end with a state 3v3 cup in late July in Winston-Salem. And then we will head to Myrtle Beach for the 2010 3v3 World Cup.” says Scott Wollaston, SoccerOP owner.

3v3 World Tour announces Round Rock, TX as the location for the 2010 TEXAS CUP

Round Rock, TX will be the host City for the 2010 TEXAS CUP as part of the 3v3 World Tour on July 17-18, 2010. Teams will qualify from this event for the World Cup Championships being held in Myrtle Beach, SC on August 6-8, 2010. Teams may qualify for the TEXAS CUP by playing in any of the local 3v3 World Tour events in Texas and surrounding states. The TEXAS CUP will help improve teams standings in the National Rankings by using the following point system:

Champions - 5 points, 2nd Place – 3 points, 3rd Place – 2 points and 4th Place – 1 point

Soccer and Lacrosse players unite for the St. Louis Sports Jam

Dallas, Texas based 3v3 WORLD SOCCER Tour has entered into a strategic partnership with Denver, Colorado based NDP Lacrosse to create the St. Louis Sports Jam, a multi-sport event where soccer and lacrosse players will unite for a weekend of competition and fun activities.

The St. Louis Sports Jam, an official qualifying tournament of the WORLD SOCCER Tour’s 2010 World Cup (soccer) and Dick’s Sporting Goods Tournament of Champions (lacrosse) has announced that this year’s event will be held in St. Louis, Missouri at Sportport of Maryland Heights.

The St. Louis Sports Jam will feature top teams from across the region, and will be held on June 12-13, 2010. The top three teams in each age and skill division for the soccer event will qualify for the World Cup event being held in Myrtle Beach, SC in August 2010. The winners of the lacrosse event in the high school and U15 divisions will earn bids to compete for the national championship at the Dick’s Sporting Goods Tournament of Champions at year’s end.

The 3v3 World Tour is currently accepting bids to host their 2011 & 2012 3v3 World Cup Event.

With 50 qualifying events from 27 states and three countries, the 3v3 World Tour is looking to find a home for their 2011 and 2012 Championships.

In order to accommodate our participants, the 3v3 World Tour will become one of the first 3v3 soccer tours to offer a Championships in different locations and coasts from year to year. The goal is to allow teams the opportunity to play in different regions each year so families and teams can experience the best soccer facilities and soccer talent from coast to coast.
